My name is Ivy Ashe, and I like stories.

I am currently a summer photographer and reporter for the biweekly Vineyard Gazette on Martha's Vineyard Island in Massachusetts. I graduated from the University of Missouri- Columbia in May of 2010 with a Master of Arts in Journalism. While at Mizzou, I worked as both a photographer and photo editor for the Columbia Missourian, and have covered events ranging from talent shows to the 2009 Texas Bowl in Houston. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Rice University, where I majored in LInguistics and Hispanic Studies, took advantage of opportunities to study abroad (twice) in Spain and to travel extensively throughout Japan, and worked extensively with college publications. The combination of studying and being exposed to cultural variation while working with media led me to pursue a degree that would allow me to combine both of these interests. Now that I've graduated, I plan to spend the rest of my life traveling the world as a visual storyteller- I'm looking forward to it.
