Hi! I’m Ivy, a reporter and photographer from Massachusetts.
I earned my Master’s in Journalism from the University of Missouri and have been working for the Vineyard Gazette ever since. I started out as a photographer and occasional reporter, but over the past three years I’ve moved into full-time writing (I still shoot my own stories). I cover a little bit of everything: government in the town of Tisbury, high school sports, fishing derbies, construction projects, film festivals, restaurant openings, county budgets, dance recitals–the list is endless, and that’s exactly why I love journalism.
